Ockham Appoints Strategic Development Director

Meghann Smith has been appointed senior director of Global Therapeutic Strategic Development within the OckhamCRO division. Ms. Smith will provide clients and functional teams with strategic guidance, risk mitigation analysis and solutions throughout the life cycle of projects.

She has more than 20 years of clinical and research expertise in a variety of therapeutic indications. Ms. Smith’s primary therapeutic focus is in hematology and oncology, with experience in multiple indications including: cardiovascular/critical care, device trials, infectious disease, neurology, women’s health and general medicine. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Smith implemented senior-level program management oversight and risk mitigation strategies in all phases of development at PPD, Inc.

Ockham’s chief executive officer, James Baker, remarked, “As Ockham continues to expand its oncology experience, we are pleased to have Meghann join our group.
